argyll and bute ハット Basking Sharks - First 2017 Arrivals

Our first basking shark sighting for 2017 was on Thursday 11th May. After notifications from local fishermen we used a great forecast to head to search for them offshore. We sighted 4 sharks, confirmed one large male around 8m and another one, likely female and slightly smaller. They were unusually inquisitive with us in the water but were happily feeding on a large plankton bloom.
